Hello. 

I’m Bogdan, 30, married, no children. 

As a student I was on chemical faculty, on chemical technology of synthetic caoutchouc and rubber. My diploma thesis is synthesis and research fluorocontaining organosilicon oligomers for hydrophobisation of glass surface. 

I did a huge literature review, synthesized some substances with a variety structure, with a long main carbon chain with no substituents, short and branched chain. While studying I used to do some organic syntheses. It was distillation and steam distillation, etherification, methanolysis, amidation, dehydration, benzoic acid obtaining etc. 

then I graduated one more institute as master. I made my science work bigger and dipper using NMR spectroscopy. 

Much more interesting and useful experience I got on my current work. 

I began working as a chemical technician. I worked with metal stuff, reactors, columns etc. the company mainly produces poly and pefluorinated monomers. Perfluoro- vinyl and allyl ethers, diether as a divinyl ester etc. I learned how to work with low-boiling liquids and gases, learned oligomerization, pyrolysis, addition, substitution, decarboxylation, halogenation, dehalogenation, iodofluorination, dehydration, amidation, distillation, rectification, chromatography. 

I used to work on Agilent and chromatec chromatographs, took a course of chromatography. Gas-liquid chromatography was a part of my job till the company created analytical department. 

Then I moved to a new R&D department. 

I still work here. My work activity switched from metal to glass. We synthesize substances that we have not produced before. Then we transfer our experience and developments to a larger production or produce the substance within our department if it is not a large order. Our department sends about 50 kg per quarter to our customers, the rest of the production sends tons. 

My job was the preparation of equipment and raw materials for processes. control over the reaction, chromatographic analysis. After two years being in r&d department I got a promotion. Now I am a chemical technologist. I have a boss and a couple of subordinates. I manage small regular projects and participate in pilot processes.
