AI/ML Engineer

About Us:

Interexy is a global custom software development and IT consulting company founded in 2017 and headquartered in Miami. We deliver innovative solutions for giants like SAP, PwC, and General Electric, with deep expertise in AI, ML, Blockchain, and FinTech. As we expand our AI Agent Development department, we need an AI/ML Engineer who takes full ownership — we don't build demos, we ship high-performance, production systems for enterprise clients.

Role Overview:

You will own the LLM pipeline from retrieval to fine-tuning to deployment. This is a 0→1 role where you'll work directly with founders and domain experts to drive Interexy's AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the full LLM lifecycle: retrieval → evaluation → fine-tuning.

Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using hybrid search (BM25 + vector).

Make smart architecture calls to ensure speed, reliability, and scale.

Monitor and improve accuracy, grounding, and metrics like Recall@k and @

Collaborate with founders in a flat structure, turning business needs into technical AI roadmaps.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Deep experience with LLMs (Llama, Mistral, GPT-4, Claude) and frameworks (LangChain/LlamaIndex).

Proficiency in hybrid search, reranking, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate).

Hands-on fine-tuning with LoRA/QLoRA and Hugging Face Transformers.

Expert-level Python with solid experience in FastAPI, PyTorch, Redis, and Postgres.

Proficiency in Docker & Kubernetes for deploying AI systems at scale.

Experience building automated evaluation loops (groundedness, hallucination checks).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Experience with IoT/hardware integration or real-time systems.

Prior experience in high-performance startups or defense-related AI projects.

A degree in Computer Science or Applied ML from a top-tier university.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $25–49 per hour, depending on experience.
