We are a recruiting agency

We are looking for an Assistant Editor to join our editorial team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our journalists provide high-quality content that is true, brand-appropriate, and legally impervious.

An interest in news, people stories, comedy, lifestyle, sports, travel, music.

Experience working with agencies or external creators would also be a plus, but not required.

What will you do?

Editing and proofreading articles and social packages

Fact checking.

Increasing the accuracy, credibility and depth of stories.

Quality control and copy protection from legal and ethical issues

Monitor potentially sensitive content and escalate information to department heads as needed.

Interaction with journalists and senior content managers.

Assistance in creating the editorial tone of the brands.

Working to tight deadlines in a dynamic creative environment

What needs to be done before then?

Previous Sub Editing experience

Qualification or on-the-job training in journalism or sub-editing preferred.

Confident work quickly and accurately in different deadlines

High level of written English

Outstanding proofreading and editing skills

Fast and accurate research skills

Expertise in media law
